Lock in a tight, professional-grade screen seal that lasts for years. Built for contractors, repair shops, and DIYers alike, this commercial-grade vinyl spline features a serrated (ribbed) core engineered to compress easily into your frame channel and expand firmly against the mesh—holding fiberglass, aluminum, or heavy-duty screen material securely in place without slipping.

With a bulk 500-foot roll, you’ll have plenty of high-performance material to handle large-scale re-screening projects, multi-window installations, or ongoing repair work.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Serrated Ribbed Core: Precision-engineered vertical ribs compress upon insertion and expand inside the channel track, locking screen mesh firmly under tension.

  • Weather-Resistant Vinyl: Formulated from high-grade, UV-stabilized vinyl that resists drying out, cracking, shrinking, or deteriorating under direct sun and harsh weather conditions.

  • Smooth Installation: Flexible construction glides easily around frame corners and rolls smoothly with standard concave or convex spline tools.

  • Bulk Commercial Quantity: Convenient 500-foot roll delivers maximum value and reduces waste on multi-frame jobs.

Spline Selection Guide

Selecting the proper spline diameter depends on both your frame channel width and the type of mesh you are installing:

  • Standard Bug Screens (Fiberglass & Aluminum): Choose a spline diameter 0.010″ larger than the frame channel width. The serrated vinyl compresses gently into the groove to hold optimal tension.

  • Thick / Heavy-Duty Meshes (Solar & Pet Screen): Because solar and heavy-duty meshes take up significantly more space in the channel, choose a spline diameter up to 0.020″ smaller than the frame channel width to avoid damaging the mesh or warping the frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which diameter to order if I don’t have the old spline?

Measure the width of your frame’s spline groove/channel. As a general rule, select a spline size that matches the channel width for standard fiberglass mesh, or step down 1–2 sizes if using thicker mesh (like Pet Screen or Solar Screen).

Can I use a standard spline rolling tool with this?

Yes. A standard dual-wheel spline roller (concave/convex wheel) works perfectly to seat serrated vinyl spline into the frame channel smoothly.

What happens if I use a spline that is too large?

Using an oversized spline—especially with thick solar mesh—can slice through the mesh material, bow or warp lightweight aluminum frame channels, or cause extreme hand fatigue during installation.
